What to Expect from Lessons
Singing can be a personal thing and it's normal to feel nervous but because Emma started her singing journey with no previous experience and low confidence, she understands how some people may feel.
You will be welcomed into a friendly, positive environment with Emma as your cheerleader and mentor to guide you towards your goals.
When you first arrive for your lesson, Emma will meet you at reception and take you to the studio.
Your first lesson will involve discussing your goals and evaluating where you are with your voice using scales.
You are not expected to know or pick up scales immediately, Emma will help you.
If you don't have a particular project that you are working on, together, you and Emma will choose material that is best for your voice and that will help you acheive your goals.
There is also the option to have lessons online via Zoom.
Online lessons follow the same structure as in-person lessons and can be just as effective, with the bonus of not having to leaving your room!

Your booking is not secure until you pay.
Where possible, it is recommended to pay in block bookings to secure your regular slot.

The Act Natural studio is located in the heart of North Shields on the ground floor inside the Grade II listed North Shields Business Centre.
Upon arrival, key in 003# and Emma will let you into the comfortable reception area where you're welcome to wait if you're early.
Parents are also welcome to use this area to wait whilst their child has their lesson.
Emma will come and meet you in reception when it's time for your lesson.
Please research the area before attending your first lesson as Emma cannot extend over your allocated lesson time if you are late.
There is plenty of parking around the area with free parking for 1 hour right outside on Saville Street, a free parking for up to 2 hours in Norfolk Street car park and the Asda also has 1 hour free parking.
There is also parking on Camden Street for 50p/hour and the Beacon Shopping Centre also has a multi-storey car park for a small charge and is located opposite the building.
North Shields Metro Station is a 5 minute walk away with bus servicesrunning throughout the town.
